Abstract
A twodimensional, self-consistent model for cleaved-coupled-cavity (C3-) lasers is presented. The model is based on the Beam Propagation Method and includes the nonlinearity of the medium: the longitudinal resonances are calculated in consistency with the optical power, which affects the refractive index. The method reveals some phenomena which cannot be found by means of a onedimensional model.
