Abstract :
In the paper the applicability of a system, consisting of two linear dipoles located above the surface of a layered half-space for measuring the dielectric characteristics of soils is discussed. Measurement results of the real part and module of the active antenna´s full impedance as function of humidity (uniformly distributed along the surface and in depth) are presented for the sandy soil case. The experiments are compared with calculations.
