Abstract :
The existing cooling system of Telephone Exchange consumes more than 45% of overall energy consumption and generates the large amount of CO2 that affect the global environment as well. Focusing on the energy conservation and expenditure, the adaptive cooling system using the air blowers integrated with the existing air conditioning system is proposed. Comparing the energy consumption, life cycle costs, temperature and humidity controls to the conventional cooling system control were done. The experiment demonstrated that the energy consumption of the cooling system decreased 87.98% and the overall energy consumption decreased 35.49% as compared to the convention cooling system. The annual cost of the proposed system can reduce up to 288,533 THB/Room with 1 year of return of investment. The proposed system can operate without any interruption under the temperature and humidity requirements. Finally, the report included important detail such as innovations, detail designs; preventive maintenance requirement and barriers of proposed system will be shown and described in detail.
