Abstract :
Because of the outstanding advantage, the ultrawide bandwidth technology (UWB) is put forwards into application of the radiofrequency identification (RFID) systems. In this paper, the general system structure of UWB-RFID and the backscatter modulation is presented. The link budget of time-hopping pulse position modulation (TH-PPM) in AWGN channel is analyzed, which is based on the emission mark of FCC for the UWB signal. At last, the performance of link budget in UWB-RFID system is presented in terms of transmission range and data rate.
