  • Abstract
A novel radial translational meshing gear motor was introduced. The aim of this research is to design a new motor used in robot, micro mechanics and other devices with space restrict which integrates the meshing gear into the motor. Compared with conventional motors, the noticeable features of this motor are that the direction of electromagnetism force driving rotor is along radial direction, which structure shorten the drive chain and increased the respond speed, stability at low speed, big output torque. In this paper, the operation principle and mechanism characteristics of this new motor are introduced. The finite element analysis is figured out, solid model is founded and the static startup torque of the motor is calculated. Through the simulation and calculation results, the reasonability and feasibility of this motor have been testified.
