Abstract :
Wavelength tunable and polarization insensitive semiconductor optical add and drop multiplexer, which consists. of vertically stacked buried waveguides and a deep grating; is presented. Low polarization sensitivity and a low crosstalk characteristic are experimentally confirmed.
