Abstract :
A novel version of the stripline printed notch radiating element is described which can operate over an extended-octave frequency band for scan angles out to 60-degree cone. Modelled results are presented for a typical design and these are compared with measured data for a linear array of 32 elements. These measured finite array results are complemented by an analysis of a semi infinite array, which was finite in the E-plane and infinite in the H-plane.
