Abstract
In this paper, a dynamic analysis of voltage instability in the Vietnam 500/220 kV system is presented. Long-term simulation is used by taking into account dynamics of slow controllers. In order to predict voltage collapse, time domain simulation, calculation of indicator of voltage instability risk and eigenvalue methods are presented. Finally the paper presents several operating strategies in order to prevent the voltage stability in this system
