Abstract
Based on the introduction of the Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD), Wavelet Packet Quantization Analysis Technology is presented in this paper. According to the features including heavy-load, high-speed and huge-impact of the real-time signals of the quayside container crane, the feature information can be extracted effectively by means of this technique. The application to the large-scale crane belonged to a Shanghai container-company shows that this technique is an on-Line and real-time method for the feature extraction and condition monitoring of the crane.
