Abstract :
We report the use of gas absorption lines as multi-wavelength references to enhance the measurement accuracy of fibre Bragg grating sensors. Experiments with a 3-FBG-sensor array interrogated by a tunable laser demonstrated an overall measurement accuracy of -2 pm.
