Abstract
The fluorescent transients of optically excited single short-chain polymers of a luminescent PPV derivative, poly(2,5-dioctyloxy p-phenylene vinylene), are observed. In contrast to long-chain polymers, multiple equal steps are observed indicating chromophores both align and act independently.
