Abstract :
In order to mill irregular curves by CNC wood-working machine based polar coordinates, a new method was presented. This new method takes the technology of graphics interaction with DXF file, and can mill directly according to the work piece contour curves data. CNC carpentry Line trace mill data processing software was developed which can realize arbitrary contour curves discretization and G-Code generation. The processing experiments prove that this system can simplify the machine operation, increase milling efficiency, improve quality effectively and reduce the production cost.
