Abstract :
On behalf of the Organizing Committee we were pleased to host the 18th IEEE International Pulsed Power Conference in Chicago, Illinois from June 19th to June 23rd 2011. For the first time in the history of the International Pulsed Power Conference, the conference was held in the Midwest. Approximately 650 Pulsed Power engineers and scientists convened to exchange information on pulsed power science, technology as well as new applications of the technology. The conference serves as the principle forum for the technical exchange of information for the International Pulsed Power Community. The conference was held at the Chicago Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, a convention site located a few minutes from historic downtown Chicago.
