Abstract :
The paper describes the design, functional capabilities, and performance of the enhanced miniaturized airborne GPS receiver (EMAGR) being developed by the Collins Avionics & Communications Division, Rockwell International. It is the result of adding functional and performance capability to the DoD standard MAGR, also produced by Rockwell´s Collins Division. The details of the EMAGR´s hardware and software architecture are presented, along with descriptions of the added functional capability and their impacts on current MAGR hardware, software, and performance
