Abstract :
Outages in electricity supply can cause extensive damages to the demand and load sides. In this era, the most fundamental engineering problem of interest is how to manage electrical outages that our available data and predictive reliability techniques permit. There are different methods for reducing or minimizing these damages. However, with all efforts that have been done, the existence of outages is a reality. So the management of electrical outages is a necessity. This paper gives a comparative study of a new fuzzy set model to support decision making under uncertainty for managing electrical networks outages (ENO). In this study the membership functions of various criteria are calculated based on the difference between upper and lower weightings and the expert´s view points about each criterion are used to determine the shape factors of membership functions. Three methods are examined for finding crisp values of membership functions
