Abstract
A new algorithm is presented, which is called the minimum variance algorithm. It is applicable for DGPS reference station networks of any size and is ideally suited for local and regional area DGPS networks. This algorithm solves for the minimum variance weighting coefficients which are applied by the user to the corrections received from multiple DGPS reference stations. Monte Carlo performance simulation and field data analysis results are presented for this as well as the well-known partial derivative algorithm
