Abstract :
A recent study carried out by Astrium for the ESA provided an opportunity to develop a phased array decimation concept devised earlier within Astrium. For certain coverage scenarios this provides performance for a DRA superior to that of an equivalent reflector-based active antenna, while using fewer degrees of freedom in its agile beamforming.
