Abstract :
The well known Pisarenko´s method for sinusoidal frequency estimation can be considered as a least squares minimization problem subject to a unit-norm constraint. In this paper, a computationally attractive and accurate frequency estimator is devised via applying weighted least squares in the Pisarenko´s framework. Simulation results are included to evaluate the estimation performance of the proposed algorithm in different conditions.
