Abstract :
An overview of the new FASANT code based on the combination of the Uniform Theory of Diffraction (UTD), Physical Optics (PO) and a new ray-tracing method to consider n-bounces is presented. This code can be used to study large antennas and antennas interactions with complex environments like satellites, ships, aircrafts, cities or other complex electrically large bodies, modelled by flat and/or curved surfaces (parametric surfaces). The antennas and environment can be defined by conductors, dielectric materials, periodic structures and metamaterials.
