            Abstract :
The authors present a generalization of the Lk-norm echo cancellers of PSKL (L denotes number of phases) and 16-level QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation) data transmission. They describe the theoretical analysis of a stochastic gradient type algorithm based on the minimization of high order norms of the absolute residual error in the context of PSKL and 16-level QAM data transmission. A method for the choice of the right adaptation step, to guarantee convergence, according to a desired final error variance is established. Finally, the coherence of the analysis is shown with some computer simulation results
