Abstract :
In this work we address the randomness in antennas by proposing a modelling method suited to small random variations around the nominal antenna parameters. By expanding array antenna characteristics with respect to the parameter variations, it is possible to generate the statistics of these (output) characteristics from the statistics of these (input) variations, based on the knowledge of first order and eventually second order derivatives. The method is applied to a few examples obtained from electromagnetic simulations.
