Abstract
We evaluate the effective secrecy throughput of the multiple-input multiple-output multiple-antenna eavesdropper (MIMOME) wiretap channel with antenna selection at the legitimate transmitter. The optimal target secrecy rate that maximizes the effective secrecy throughput is obtained and confirmed by numerical results. Differently from previous works, we constrain the maximum allowed secrecy outage probability (SOP) and show that, the single-input single-output multi-antenna eavesdropper (SISOME) scheme recently proposed in the literature presents a much lower resilience to the decrease of the maximum allowed SOP than that obtained by MIMOME scheme.
