Abstract :
The paper presents a new approach to the motion control design of a manufactory plant. It is based on the virtual reality simulation of the plant and on the use of dedicated software for the motion control design. The new approach allows to verify the validity of the mechanical structure and the design of the actual profiles of the speed and the torque of each drive. These information are fundamental to tune the size of the drives to the motion requirements. Three standard software are used to attain the desired results
