This paper focuses on the analysis and improvement on a new type of industrial design, which was called hydraulic stone splitting that obtained the national patent of invention (patent number: 00235091.2) in China. Hydraulic splitting device is the key component of the hydraulic stone splitting, its service life directly impact on the splitting effect and cost. Starting from the force analysis of the device, and then using ANSYS software to carry out stress distribution analysis for each part of the splitting device, the stress and deformation of the outer and inner wedges are obtained. Based on the analysis results, the wedge components of hydraulic splitting machine are improved. It is proved through the test that the improved hydraulic stone splitter has better performances than before and can be widely used in small and medium scale quarries.
