Abstract :
Dual-satellite geolocation system can locate a stationary emitter on Earth by using time and frequency difference of arrival (TDOA/FDOA). However, emitter motion will cause a bias on the FDOA, resulting in calculated positions with unacceptable errors. If motion is detected, the position is known to be inaccurate. An algorithm for motion detection based on TDOA/FDOA measurements is proposed by using Rao test which just needs the position estimation of stationary hypothesis. The performance is analyzed, and the availability is verified by the simulation results
