Abstract
We consider imaging arrays and apertures from the point of view of their performance in the imaging of spatially incoherent source distributions. The concept of coarray is used to provide an interesting insight into the aperture synthesis process using frequency diversity imaging. Simulation results are also provided. The proposed methods are applicable to imaging of coherent distribution of reflectors as well
