Abstract
A new subband adaptive beamforming method for microphone array speech enhancement is proposed in the paper, which is used to enhance speech signals corrupted by noise in the enclosure environment. It applies the idea of subband processing into the generalized sidelobe canceller (GSC) and post-filter. An oversampled cosine-modulated filter bank is adopted to improve convergence speed of full-band adaptive beamforming and avoid aliasing between subband signals. In addition, in order to reduce speech signal cancellation brought by reverberation, a subband mean coherence function is introduced to control the adaptive processing of multichannel noise canceller. Simulation experiments results that the proposed method exhibits better noise reduction performance than full-band counterparts
