Abstract :
BitTorrent is the most popular and promising P2P application for large file replication nowadays. As far as we know the overlay topology among peers hasn\´t been studied. We propose a model that tries to model peers in BT system and the connectivity among them in a 2-D Euclidean space. Based on the proposed model, the BT topology is evaluated. It seems that BT overlay topology is clustered and layered to some extent. We also present the relationship between several vital parameters in BT system: total peer number in one torrent (N), request times for each peer(r), and the maximum "unchokes" (C)
