The meaning of the form : Discrimination of modern design features

Modern design, as a kind of survival form of creativity, is undoubtedly a “significant form”. Making a correct understanding and comprehensive discrimination on modern design features is a prerequisite for effective design, and is also the basis for sustained development of modern design. This paper makes specific analysis of modern design features through explaining the special meaning of modern design in the material, activities, concept and other aspects. Then it proposes that the purposes of use significance, the integration of practical significance, the advance of cognitive significance, and so on, are the fundamental features of modern design. In addition, deeply discusses the concrete manifestations and attributes constitutes of these features.
