Abstract :
Intense pulse electric field has a large potential in new biology and medical applications. In this work, we have developed a Burst Electromagnetic wave Focusing System for medical applications. This system allows applying the electric field into human body without electrodes touching to the body. It is composed of function generator, signal generator, amplifier, radiation antenna and ellipsoidal reflector. The burst wave is radiated from first focal point and focused at a second focal point by ellipsoidal reflector. The focusing system is immersed in water to match the permittivity with living body, it allows electromagnetic wave to transmit inside body effectively and contribute the electric field to focus with high resolution by compressing the wavelength. In this report, we showed that the electric field was accurately focused at second focal point and intensity of electric field increased with increasing the medium temperature.
