Abstract :
Unlike assembly, disassembly attracts much less attention in terms of automatization. Therefore, the paper contributes to research automation technologies for the application of disassembly. In this paper, an architecture design of intelligent vision-based system is proposed. Employing the disassembly system based on the architecture, components of electronic waste (for example, traction batteries) are detected and localized. The obtained information is then integrated in a database to determine a disassembly plan, which involves space constraint and relation between the individual components. Relying on the plan, disassembly can be implemented. The contribution of this paper is to outline the main framework of developing a vision-based intelligent disassembly cell.
