Abstract :
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is an effective way to analyze the cardiac health of a patient. It gives an association between inclination of a heart for arrhythmias and signs of either increased sympathetic or reduced vagal activity. By heart rate variability, the variations in time intervals between R wave peaks in an electrocardiogram are measured and these variations can be used for analyzing various diseases. In this study HRV data is analyzed on the basis of LF/HF ratio. Wavelet and Wigner Ville Transforms are used for data analysis and the results are mentioned for standard MIT database as well as database collected by using PowerLab.
