Abstract
Summary form only given. The interaction of high-speed plasma flows and bunches with one another (interpenetration), taking into consideration ionization and radiation processes represents one of the fundamental phenomena in plasma physics and has application to plasma dynamics, astrophysics, and magnetospheric physics. When interpenetration occurs, situations can arise where large current densities are generated over time scales of 1-10 ns. In this work, we describe the two-dimensional interaction of two counter-flows, initial and reflected from a stationary obstruction.
