Integration of product stewardship into a personal computer product family

This paper explores a practical approach for integrating product stewardship into the development of a personal computer product family. This approach was first used successfully at Digital Equipment Corporation in the development of a new personal computer system enclosure. Organization, establishing sponsorship, working with the product team, support, and verification are discussed, including a summary of tools and techniques used at various stages. Resultant product features, and lessons learned are also discussed
