Abstract
The application of the harmonic balance method to simulation of ring oscillators is difficult due to their highly non-linear operation. Different variants of the harmonic balance method are compared for the simulation of ring oscillators. The two-level method is found to be the most efficient and robust algorithm for a wide variety of ring oscillator circuits.
