Abstract
This paper discusses the application of FEM to the simulation of the SAW generation by IDTs and the possibility of reducing the amount of computations by taking into account the symmetry. The perfectly matched layer (PML) is used to truncate the computational domain. A test computation of the electric admittance agrees well with experimental results.
