Abstract
This paper presents the enhancement technique of iris localization using circular Hough transform and colour segmentation. Circular Hough transform localized the inner and outer boundaries of the iris using images from each colour channels namely; R, G and B and H, S and V. Combination of the colour channels was also experimented. The experiments were conducted on the iris images obtained from healthy women free from Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). The result from the enhancement technique shows that when images of gray scale and combination of S and V channels are used, both outer and inner boundaries of the irises able to achieve 100% correct localization.
