Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
As the theoretical studies of discrete particle swarm optimization (PSO) are extremely complex and diversity, empirical analysis and validation are the primary research method as always for all type of discrete PSO algorithms. This paper extends these studies to a theoretical analysis for a discrete PSO particle trajectory, and also provides a formal proof that each particle converges to a stable point. Experimental results are provided to support the conclusions drawn from the theoretical findings.
