Abstract
Describes the IRL (Interactive Real-time Logging) system, developed by the Canadian Scientific Submersible Facility to manage streaming data from seabed ROV interventions and surveys. This semi-automated, HTML-based system uses a shipboard server and workstation network to create an interactive archive of text, data and digital imagery that is provided to clients on CD-ROM at the end of each mission. The user-friendly IRL system has potential applications in other oceanographic missions that routinely require real-time, underway integration of navigational, instrument and sample collection data
