Abstract
This paper presents the target path planning biomedical application for the swarm of drug loaded nano carriers in a complex three dimensional virtual environment. To improve the effectiveness of drug a smart targeted drug delivery system is designed in a virtual environment that is capable of targeting the swarm of nano particles to specific disease site. Based on the virtual environment the parametric study of obstacle avoidance, optimization for shortest path and the required attractive force to target the nano particles in a disease affected site are investigated. Artificial potential field is used to generate magnetic attractive and repulsive forces to plan obstacle free path from initial to targeted position. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is applied to optimize the path for drug loaded particles swarm. The simulation results showed that the proposed system is closer to real-time (online) and converges towards optimal path with high success rate.
