Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is used for the investigation of the piston wind. This paper analyzes the formation of piston wind. The simulation model of piston wind is established based on the analysis of the the air flow in the subway tunnel and the production mechanism of piston wind. Simulation results by fluent software indicates that it is consistent with the experimental one. It notes the virtual result is trustworthy and numerical simulation of piston wind is feasible using dynamic grid in CFD software, which provides the basis for the virtual design of piston wind, and it is of certain guiding significance for practical application.
