  • Abstract
    This paper presents some aspects regarding the design and implementation of readout electronics suitable for PIN diode radiation detector, for nuclear safety and active personal dosimetry applications. Our efforts consist in designing and fabricating the electronics to fulfil the needs of gamma radiations dosimetry and hybrids PIN diode array for charged particle detectors. In this paper we focus on the designing and implementation of charge sensitive amplifiers/discriminators for PIN diode radiation detectors, proposing two implementation approaches: discrete components design and FPAA design for analogue signal processing circuitry. The results obtained during testing and characterizing the new devices in gamma fields operating at room temperature are also reported.
