Abstract
Knowledge termination is the last, but mostly unperformed task in the knowledge life cycle. It is the process that describes the process of selecting and deleting unusable knowledge items. Through performing knowledge termination, organisations can avoid losing efficiency in the knowledge management practice by waiting for the search results, selecting the real useful knowledge items, or using worthless, irrelevant items. In the research for knowledge termination, two knowledge intensive consulting companies have been explored deeply, and some other (consulting and nonconsulting) organisations partly.
