Abstract :
We present innovative passive planar architectures for all-optical wavelet signal processing. We furnish the design guidelines to synthesize wavelet filters as two-port lattice-form planar devices, and illustrate some possible applications such as optical signal denoising and compression. We also present an all-optical wavelet packet division multiplexing architecture, where data signals are waveform coded onto wavelet atoms for multiple access transmission.
