Abstract
This paper describes the function block application process of the foundation fieldbus protocol, based on the inter relationship of function blocks, device description and object dictionary. Also is presented a method for projecting and integrating new foundation fieldbus function blocks, based on practical project experience and on the foundation fieldbus specifications and standards
