Abstract
A hybrid-mode pyramidal horn is analyzed theoretically. The pyramidal horns is partially filled with a dielectric slab of electric permittivity εr. The parametric study was developed in order to verify the influence of the electric permittivity of the slab on the maximum cross-polar level of the radiation pattern. The results obtained shows an improvement of approximately 30 dB in the maximum cross-polar level in comparison with the empty case and a good performance for these levels on a wide frequency band considering the hybrid mode LSE10, dominant in the structure.
