Abstract :
Welcome to the 8th IEEE International Conference on Group IV Photonics, London 2011. This conference series began in Hong Kong in 2004, and has been hosted in rotation in Europe, North America and Asia. The conference now returns to Europe, and for the first time it is held in England. We are delighted to see an ever growing number of submissions, and a steady increase in participation from all parts of the world, with an 39% increase in applications since last year
