Abstract :
Multiple description coding is especially promising for video coding due to the very stringent delay requirement in many video applications. In this paper, an effective MD video codec is designed based on motion-compensated correlation of video sequences, which is perfectly compatible with the current standard source or channel codec. The experimental results exhibit better performance of the proposed scheme than other schemes.
