Abstract
In this paper, a Multiresolution Time-Domain (MRTD) approach that relies on expanding the fields in terms of Cohen-Daubechies-Feaveau (CDF) biorthogonal-wavelet class is presented to analyze optical guided-wave devices. The results prove the computational efficiency of the method over the traditional Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD).
