Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an improved AT-3D SPIHT algorithm for hyperspectral image lossy-to-lossless compression. According to the characteristic of Xiongpsilas 3D integer wavelet packet transform and the AT-3D SPIHTpsilas zerotree structure, we construct a more effective asymmetric 3D zerotree structure which not only has longer wavelet zerotree but also can cluster wavelet zero coefficients more efficiently. Experimental results show that our algorithm outperforms original AT-3D SPIHT, 3D SPIHT and 3D SPECK, and is worse than JPEG2000-MC in the lossy-to-lossless compression performances for hyperspectral images.
